It was an active day of sailing this past Saturday across the Northeast; 20+ knots of true w/gusts over 30! We raced on my brother Drew Baris' Sabre 402 "IMPULSE" in the 37th Annual Sag Harbor Cup w/regular first mate John Sharp. IMPULSE took first in her division (JAM) and third overall in a fleet of 25 boats. Skipper Drew was totally digging his new UK Sailmakers' 135% Genoa made with a Spectra membrane and Carbon X-Drive load path fibers, 50x50 taffeta one side and on the overlap side.
The sail performed well downwind with her higher clew and drove to windward furled into a 110% #3 sized headsail like the champ she is! IMPULSE was ELISA's boat of the year in 2018 for the third time and she is looking for her fourth title! Good luck Drew!
